Is bigger better?

Large screens in automotive are a great cause for concern. The dangers of distracted driving are increased with the increased digital real estate and mass information.

Statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the US show:
3,166 fatalities in distraction-affected crashes in 2017
297 teens (aged 15 to 19) were killed as a result of distracted driving in 2017
9 percent of all teen motor vehicle crash fatalities in 2017 involved distracted driving.

This could be the reason that large screens have not yet been adopted by the mainstream manufacturers.

We believe large can also be safe

We are developing modular, high quality visual systems which can effectively disappear when not in use, that, of course, conform to the highest automotive safety standards.

Even the single screens used in today’s vehicles are permanently full of information and require navigating multiple menus and pages. These can take longer to navigate than one would often deem safe. The space is normally completely filled with constantly updating information to avoid having empty, black areas.

Allowing these areas to be turned off gives the same functionality as a mobile device. Making them disappear will also give the driver an aesthetic reason to disable these large amounts of information.
